Hello, fellow wine lovers!
As we cannot currently travel to glorious summer vacation spots, let me transport you to one! On Saturday, September 12th, at 7:00 PM, I will be hosting a wine tasting slash wine class all about the fabulously refreshing options in Coastal Spain!
Spain is often unfairly synonymous with Rioja and other seriously rich red wines. While these are stunning in their own right, let’s celebrate the lighter, more summer-focused, and less celebrated known pockets of (coastal) Spain together!
There is Galicia in the Northwest, home to Albarino, (arguably) one of Spain’s oldest white varietals, filled with ripe fruit and a serious dose of salinity to keep it fresh and vibrant. The Basque Country is home to Txakolina, a seriously lean, crisp, and spritzy expression of Hondurrabi Zuri and Hondurrabi Beltza... white and pink expressions abound here. Further east, Cava’s homeland of the Penedes is also home to some still, textural delights... and the journey continues!
If you’d like a flight of six wines shipped to you anywhere in the US, you can snag tickets for just $60 through bespokewineclub.com !
Cheers, and I hope to see you there!
